On September 26, a premiere of unique animated films created as part of the "Children for Children" program took place in Poznań.
What makes these animations special is that they are based on illustrations made by children aged 6 to 16. During previous workshops, children had the opportunity to use neural networks to create vibrant drawings, which were then transformed into animated films dedicated to notable historical figures of Belarus — Francysk Skaryna, Anastasija Sluckaja, Vincent Dunin-Marcinkievich, Ignat Damejka, and Usiaslau "the Wizard" Charadziej. These films reflect Belarus's rich history, offering viewers a unique perspective through the lens of children's creativity.
The event was held at the "KUT" foundation building, located at ul. Kramarska 32, and brought together not only children but also their parents. Attendees had the chance to witness the results of the young artists' work and participate in entertaining activities. Quizzes and games were a key part of the program, providing joyful experiences while also fostering interest in Belarusian culture and history. Every participant received delightful gifts and had the opportunity to take part in interactive quizzes.
The Poznań premiere was part of a broader series of similar events, which had already taken place successfully in Katowice and Białystok. In these cities, the animated films were also presented to enthusiastic audiences. More than 50 people attended these events, where they not only enjoyed the children’s animations but also learned the basics of creating neural artwork.
The "Children for Children" project not only supports children’s creativity but also enriches participants with knowledge about their country’s history through innovative and modern approaches to art creation. The films created by children serve as a reminder of the importance of preserving cultural heritage and demonstrate how art can convey love for one’s homeland and its history.
